What are the Chances.... Like all the others in this series, the plot is captivating, the research brilliant and the characters wonderful. The science is so intelligently presented and serves to augment the story. The humor is original. I can't say enough about how much I have enjoyed all of Dr. Cray's adventures and how much I hope to continue to do so.Four stars in thrillers category It is my least favored book in Dr. Theo Cray mysteries but it still deserves four stars in thrillers category.The main plotline is about the hunt for the killing nurse and it is very interesting and engaging. It also reads very easily. As usual, book is also sprinkled with little morsels of fascinating true information on varied subjects including not only scary criminology statistics but also biology and others. This I also liked.But somewhere toward the book middle the action was dragging a little while describing Theo usual problems with authorities. (However, I have to admit that, later on, Theo’s lawyer dealing with big company accusations was quite brilliant.) The main reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the gloomy and murky ending. Despite this I am planning to buy next book.Read this book , series, author . This book exceeded my expectations. Mayne is a master at making everyday scenarios into jaw dropping suspense that blows your mind. Since the first book I have been hooked and now with the new twist at the end we are waiting again for the next installment. They call it hard science fiction but I think it's a league of it's own and hasn't been done this well by many other authors. But don't take my word for it. READ IT!!!
